When I started my coaching business about 7 years ago I struggled with the cash flow just like everybody else. I came to coaching with an over 20 year experience in leading workshops, teaching, doing psychotherapy and healing. I've worked with thousands of people around the world, created communities, gathered and inspired like-minded people online, speaking on global stages, interviewing and doing on-the-fly coaching on the radio with the audience of half-a-million listeners. YET... I was useless at charging my worth!
In my first year in business I worked with 100 clients and made a 'whooping' $30 grand. Next year, I made a little more, but invested most of it... My husband gave me an ultimatum - he was about to leave me and our five kids. because I was a workaholic.
I was 'serving' strangers out there, taking pro-bono clients, offering free workshops, hustling, running like a chicken without a head... literally buying into what all of those fancy business programs and coaches had told me to do - 30-thing list to do per day to 'attract' leads and turn them into high-paying clients.
